Marcie clenched her jaw for a few moments, looking at Kaden in concern and a hint of pity. "Because I want to talk about him sometimes," she said, frowning down at her hands. "I know it's not the same for me as it is for you, but I miss him too, and you're the only other person who knew him. The only one who matters." She plucked at her sleeve, and pressed her lips together. She wished it was easier to talk to Kaden about anything more than pizza or school. He just kept everything so tightly held.
