WHO: Henry Claus, Krampus, and Addy and Iestyn Ceredig, Saint David, and then Tinsel Claus WHEN: Friday, late afternoon (so backdated to yesterday) WHERE: Casa Ceredig WHAT: Just Krampus being Krampus WARNINGS: TBA
Henry had been worried about the distance between Addy and Iestyn lately. Sure it wasn’t anything that looked like ‘distance’ to other siblings, but to Addy and Iestyn who were attached at both the hip and the trauma, it was noticeable. So Henry had made an effort to suggest spending the evening with all of them together. They were going to order pizza and watch movies and just generally chill and enjoy each other’s company in the hopes that things with Addy and Iestyn reached a more even keel.
Addy had brought Evie down to set up and Iestyn popped into the shower since he had justb returned from a dance class. “I made caramel corn this afternoon!” Addy announced from her spot on the floor where she was playing with her daughter. “It’s gonna be so goooood!”
Henry grinned and he sat beside Addy, reaching out to tickle Evie who was waving her arms around. “That sounds fucking amazing,” he grinned. “Oh crap, I mean fudging! Little ears!”
“It’s fine, she doesn’t repeat things yet!” Addy laughed. “When’s the pizza getting here?”
“Should be soon! I hope so, I’m ravenous. I studied through lunch while picking at the saddest salad! But finals are coming up. How are yours looking?”
“Oh, fine,” Addy waved her hands around and changed the subject, “Evie learned a new word! You’d think after her first word was ‘dada’ that her next might be ‘mama’ but nooooooo, her second word is ‘no’! What a sassmaster!”
Evie grinned and yelled, “NO!” and then clapped for herself.
Henry snorted loudly and joined in the clapping. “Yay for sass!” There was a knock at the door and Henry jumped up. “Yay for pizza!” He loped to the door and headed outside to grab the pizza but instead someone grabbed him and slammed the door behind him. Henry didn’t even have a chance to see what was happening before a dark hood was pulled over his face and strong hands grabbed his arms. He struggled as fear gripped his throat. Oh god, the demons had him again. They had him and they were dragging him away-
“ADDY!” he screamed so loudly his throat ached. “ADDY HELP!” No no no he couldn't go back there, he couldn't. "DON'T TOUCH ME! ADDDYYYY!"
Instead of helping, Addy jumped up as well, heart in her throat, and she stared at the dark figures manhandling a struggling Henry away. Her reaction was instant. She scooped up her daughter and ran for it. Evie, who thought it was a game, let out a cheerful whoop. And then Addy was running, charging away from the door and Henry, leaving him to his fate because it was demons, obviously, and no demons were going to get her again. They weren’t going to get Iestyn and they sure as hell weren’t getting Evie.
Addy, who had spent weeks with a naked Iestyn in the basement dungeon, had absolutely no shame any more when it came to that kind of thing. Especially when safety was involved. She ran right into the bathroom even though he was taking a shower, and she slammed the door behind her, locking it and then standing in front of it. Blocking his way out.
