"Yeah... dunno," Lyra agreed, taking a long drink of her beer as she thought, and making a bit of a face at the heftiness of the beer, way darker than she was used to, but it was just a face of surprise, not distaste. "Thing about building houses is they stay where you stick em, not sure where I'd wanna put one," she shrugged easily, because making the choice of where to put down roots was a hell of a long way in the future, if they even found the money to do it at all.
"Anyway yeah, we covered a couple of those newfangled programs in my course," she said to Patrick, with a teasing inflection on the word newfangled. Like, who used that word forreal? It was pretty cute. "Mostly we were learning how to turn a building plan into a actual building, but yeah, we played with tryna create plans ourselves, too. You saw some've the sketches that were up on my walls at Christmas, right?" she asked Patrick, and then nudged Avery (who'd been focused on other things the one time he'd been in her old bedroom.)
