Marcie snorted loudly just as they reached the door, and the person they were to meet looked up from where they were waiting with a confused look on his face. Covering her mouth, Marcie had to turn away for a second to compose herself before she stepped in properly.
"Hiii, I'm Marcie," she said, feeling a touch more optimistic, holding her hand out to shake. "You're Joel?"
"That's me. And this is-" he said, turning to Much, and Marcie glanced at him.
"He's my friend Much."
"Hi Mitch, nice to meet you. Come on up," Joel said, and turned away to lead them up the stairs. Marcie looked at Much and pulled a cringe face, trying not to laugh, and followed him up.
Okay, so it was not, was not, anything close to the beautifully appointed apartment she'd murdered Apollo in been gifted by Aphrodite. The place appeared to be entirely tiled floors, and the living area/dining had wood paneling on the walls, and the kitchen was one wall of counters and cabinets broken up by a fridge and an oven, but there were two separate bedrooms, and she couldn't see any black mould anywhere, and from one of the bedrooms you could pretty much see the street from the window. Marcie looked over at Much and gave him a shrug. For the price... actually halfway not bad.
