"Buying your own groceries is the least glamorous," Armaan groaned. "If you want me to show you how I budget, I can." Armaan had been budgeting since he was seventeen. He had dropped out of school when his father had died, and stepped into the role of caregiver. His mother had been working two jobs to support them, and Armaan worked only during school hours, part time so he could take his sisters to school and pick them up afterwards. He did the shopping for the family, and the cooking and the lunch packing and the meal prep. He made sure the bills were paid on time. He had taken care of everything he could. He was a master budgeter.
"And if you ever need a top up, you know where to come, hmm? Remember not to leave your gym job until you have something new lined up unless you're being treated unfairly."
