Mary felt completely and utterly naked, and in a much worse way than if it had just been her clothes. She already knew one thing: her chances of getting out of this unharmed were incredibly small. She was surely not all that high on Lucifer's list on enemies, but she had gone out of her way to make herself noticeable in the past.
After all, creatures like Lucifer probably remembered the weak human beings who managed to actually kill him. Mary thought maybe she should try not to bring that incident up or feel too smug about it.
But Mary also had absolutely no interest in feigning polite and friendly with the Morningstar.
"And how unpleasant it is to see you at all," she said after an uncomfortable pause.
