"Great!" Henry said, as they ducked inside. If he had struggled with nightmares his answer would have been entirely different, but today he was happy as a clam. He was about to ask how Lyra was, when one of his former co-workers spotted Henry and whooped, descending on them.
"Henry!" she cried out, throwing her arms around him and then not hiding her expression when he was alarmingly thin. "Oh my goodness. Whatever you order, I am giving you full cream in it."
Henry just chuckled, "Hi, Sierra! This is my friend Lyra. Lyra, this is Sierra who I worked with for two years. We came to make a massive dent in that gift card you all gave me," he explained.
"Nice to meet you, Lyra!" Sierra said, moving back around the counter. "And how's your Iestyn?" she asked, as they studied the menu.
"Engaged!" Henry said, shooting out the hand where he was wearing his engagement ring, and wiggling it around. Sierra squealed and then yelled "DAVE! Henry's here and he's engaged!" into the back room. She was answered by a grunt. "He's tired today, but he's excited. Congratulations!"
"Thank you!" They ordered and finally moved to a table to sit, and Henry chuckled a little. "So this is where I worked," he joked. "I didn't even get a chance to ask how you are!"
