"A saint! That's really interesting," Armaan said, nodding. "And that sort of makes it doubly impressive he's come round to the idea. He sounds like a great man."
"He's always been so good to me too," Henry added, because it meant so much to him that David had always treated him so warmly. "I think it helps that David's brother is Saint Patrick. A parade saint. He's pan and wild." Henry did not mention that Patrick was Lyra's father. That was Lyra's business, not his.
"Saint Patrick! Saint Patrick and Santa!" Armaan laughed. "Well this wasn't the conversation I expected to have, but I'm glad it's the conversation I'm having!"
"Same," Henry chuckled. "So your sisters are younger?"
"Sixteen and nineteen," Armaan nodded. "And pure badasses. I am fairly sure they know I'm gay though we have never spoken about it. They're my favourite people in the world. If I don't talk to them every day I don't know which way is up."
Henry glanced over at Iestyn, because that sounded familiar!
