Who: Daphne and Poseidon What: Return from a trip abroad When: Wednesday Where: Their place Warnings: TBD
The wedding had gone off rather well, perfectly so even. She'd have tolerated no less, of course, but she was still glad it had gone so perfectly. She'd chosen not to wear pure white (a blatant lie like that would make a lot of people frown), but even in her biased opinion she'd looked stunning. She'd certainly had to pull several tricks for Poseidon not to ruin the dress when he'd gotten her alone. But time didn't pause and a few weeks after the event he'd been called away for business. She'd pouted because she wanted her honeymoon, but she'd still gotten the promise out of him (proof that you could still pray to gods on your knees really) that they would go somewhere. Knowing him he'd just put her on a boat and drift for a while. She wouldn't object to it.
But the last few weeks she'd spend on her own, missing Poseidon and feeling oddly alone. It was the longest she'd spend without direct contact and she didn't blame herself for being lonely. It seemed oddly natural. However without Poseidon to stop her she'd gotten herself a dog. He'd not be able to complain too much. It had impeccable breeding and was the type that would grow up to be at the height of her hip. She wouldn't tolerate a dog that was the size of a purse, and she wanted to teach it how to hunt. She still loved to do that, and hunting dogs had always been a favorite.
And it gave her company. Smiling she ran her fingers through it's fur, half nibbling on something when she felt a familiar feeling enter the house. Grinning she sat up and straightened her hair, rising when she saw Poseidon come through the door. Without waiting she went to him and set her arms around his neck. He could endure her affections for a moment. Smiling she kissed him, "you're back."
Traveling used to be with such ease, now it was charted with flying. He preferred being on the ocean waters not over it suspended in air. It was entering Zeus' territory, that always made him will the ocean waves a little higher just for good measure. Causing alarm with a little tremble as the aircraft hit the ground also gave him a good kick. It was a nice way to announce his arrival.
The few weeks overseas in Japan were always welcomed. He had a strange obsession with the rice eating, sea dwelling girls. Now he wore a ring, one he'd not had on for centuries. One didn't think much on such binding contracts in this modern age. His little nymph however had sticking power, and for once after leaving Japan he didn't have any stories of one night stands to tell about. He'd remained on good behavior, at least for right now.
When he came inside there was the distinct smell of dog. "Couldn't get a fish?" he said in a grunt throwing down his suitcase, jacket and tie. Constricting bastards. Before he could think much else there was something else wrapped around his neck. "I'd have a mind to think you missed me."
She gave him a look and then another smile, "shut up." She knew him though. It was as good to a confession of having missed her as well. He just had a very odd way of showing and saying it. Smiling she released him and set her hands on his shirt, "fish can't go hunting with me. And he's very well behaved and I've already begun his training. Besides he's fit for me. He's got a good pedigree. Only the best." She'd spend a bit of his money, but she didn't think he'd mind.
She stepped back and picked up the dog, setting in it's little pen. "I needed company. I could have gotten a person." She gave him a grin before calling for the maid to get his things. She'd hired nothing but elderly women or men. If he was going to stray, he'd be straying outside her home. "Now be good or I'm not welcoming you home properly."
"It pees on my furniture it's booted outside." In the worst of weather. Any animal that couldn't hold up to a little water wasn't even welcome.
"A person is easier to break," he gave her a feigned grin. She knew better than to bring anyone into the house. His neck straightened, looking down at her from lowered eyes. "What does good entail? I'm not sure I'm a fan of playing nice."
Sighing she shook her head and walked to the couch, sitting back down. "At least tell me you've missed me and it was dreadful being away. Don't be cross because I got a companion. He's already house trained and he swims." She extended her hands to him, "come now love you haven't seen me in weeks. Surely you can do better then talk gruff about my pet."
She shifted and waited for him, "and tell me how was Japan? Did you enjoy your time there and did you get what you wanted?"
He motioned toward his coat that he'd draped over the arm of the couch which held a pair of earrings he'd gotten her. Poseidon spent money because he could, it flaunted what he had, more importantly it branded what he wanted to keep. She was his to play dress up with in any way he pleased. If that was affection, made her think he missed her, then he'd let her think that. What truth it held was his to disclose with himself.
"It was a lot of business meetings and pretty Japanese girls." He gave a slick grin. He'd not touched a one of them. It was disappointing, but also meant that for right now he was obsessed with her.
With a look she took his coat and pulled out the earrings. Grinning she held them up. "I love them. They're gorgeous." He knew her style. He had yet to give her something she wouldn't enjoy on her own choice. "I'm sure they were very pretty." She knew him though, knew the subtle hints. He never outrighted talked about his conquests. When he did it often meant he hadn't conquered anything.
"You're so difficult," with half a smile she rose. "But alright. If you don't want to be around me I get it." she was teasing really, trying to push his buttons.
"I thought you might," he settled onto the couch, looking at the way her eyes lit up. Women couldn't be bought, but if it kept her at his side, he would run the world dry to shower her with gifts. "Quite," he tugged on her arm to pull her back so that she was thrown gently into his lap. "Dark eyes, pale skin, ready and willing to dish out anything I asked for."
Laughing she let herself be pulled into his lap. He was really all too easy. Smiling she toyed with the earrings as he boasted. "Liar," she looked up at him. "You didn't ask for a thing. You're just trying to make me jealous. You never boast, and when you do it's to get attention." She smiled at him, all cheek, "I've known you for too long Sea God. You keep on forgetting that. Besides there's nothing they can do I can't do better. Now put these on me." Smiling she handed him the earrings, "and tell me I'm pretty."
"I don't lie, sweetheart." He had played with those Japanese girls, just not anything beyond drinks at local strip club. Japanese business men loved a late night outing after a long day of meetings. It was a shame none of them could hold their sake as well as he could.
He kissed the side of her neck with a growl against the skin, nipping lightly with a slight break of skin. Leaning back against the couch he pulled her long, dark hair from her back, shifting it over to one side while he placed one earring into her delicate ear, then the other.
She could push him as long as he got what he wanted. She knew he liked seeing his gifts on her, so she'd made him put the earrings on her. It gave them both what they wanted, in her own way. Smiling she leaned back so she could look at herself in a window and lifted her head up to kiss his chin. "Thank you."
Then she shook her head and continued to lean into him. She'd missed his familiar presence, "all right then. You don't lie. I can still tell you know." She wasn't as jealous as most. She understood him and his ways. She just gave him a reason to keep coming back to her. "For one, no diamonds. You always get me diamonds when you've gone and done other women. These are plain and pretty, but not diamonds." She gave him a grin. "I'm very observant you know."
A finger glided against her earlobe, dancing upon the earring as it dangled against her soft neck. They slid against the crook of her neck, his lips quick to follow in a sententious touch. His hands were heavy, massaging her shoulders with strong motions. "You surprise me every day." He grinned against her skin, teeth and tongue raking up her neck. "Presumptuous in this theory of yours, hmmm?"
She leaned into his touch, offering herself up for more. There was no denying she'd missed this, and missed him. "Or I'm right and you're horrible admitting it." Grinning she turned around to look at him, straddling his lap and playing with the buttons of his shirt. "And I'm supposed to keep surprising me. Otherwise you'd get sick of me."
He dug his fingers into her thighs with a heavy grin. "You still have a ring, I'd say you're still in my favor," his tongue caressed her lips with a glide across their smooth surface. She still tasted of freshwater with the faintest hint of salt from his own lips.
Smiling she returned his kiss and slid her fingers down his shirt, unbuttoning it as she went. "I better," she knew that after all this time, it was highly unlikely he'd forget about her.
"That depends on you, honey." He had missed her. He had missed fingering and devouring every part of her. That creamy skin, her big eyes fluttering closed and the way she whimpered his name.
It wasn't long before she'd undone his shirt which he pulled off, skin free for her touch. Hers was next. He was actually being slow about this.
She hardly minded the slowness. After a few weeks it was rather nice. Smiling she traced her fingers along his skin, remembering the first time he'd come to her.
Grinning she leaned forward and set her lips on his neck, "so great Sea Lord," she whispered against his skin, "how do I gain your favor?" She liked to play, and she knew he certainly appreciated it.
He'd let her play for a while. It was how they kept this interesting. She'd push and he'd pull. It was like having your hands tied behind your back, working to free yourself from the constraints, except when Daphne thought she had the rope tied tightly around his wrists, he had turned dominance. It was alright at times for the almighty Poseidon to be dominated. For a little while at least.
He grinned against her lips, biting down on her bottom lip, tugging it between his teeth. He too remembered the first time he'd spied her, slipping out of that pool of water. She'd been untouched. His hand slipped down her chest, unlocking her bra. "Obey your Lord," he said through a whisper as lips pressed against her neck. He wanted her to beg, wanted her to pretend that she was terrified. There was something in Poseidon that made weakness in others a complete turn-on at the right times.
She knew right well he only gave her the illusion of power, but it still worked for her. Those few moments that she held him in her hands was enough for her, and rather exciting. Smiling she slipped out of her bra and leaned her head back.
"Always," with a sigh she set her hand on the back of his head and gave him her best doe eyes. "My Lord knows I would never displease him, as long as he tells me what he wishes."
"There will be punishment if you do," he nipped that soft skin, raking his teeth down to her collarbone. Her eyes met his, thumb bringing her chin forward. "It's your position to find out," he wasn't going to make it easy, she had to play worried. His breath hit her ear, "so go on already---beg," he hissed into her ear, a hard kiss on those supple lips.
She smiled into the kiss before drawing back, teasing her fingertips along his skin. "Oh please don't punish me. I have done nothing to cause offense." she could play this up well. A life time of being a nymph had made her good at pleading.
"It is under my decree as to whether or not you have offended me or not," his teeth gritted, hands clasping tightly on her thighs. There was some burn, but with a playful tone. His breath tickled her skin with a dark chuckle. "You will get on your knees," he spoke with demand and a half smirk.
"But I've been so good," she couldn't hide her smile, not completely. If he was truly angry he wouldn't be doing all this. Smiling she slid off his lap and traced her fingers along his legs, looking up at him with her best pleading eyes.
