The sheriff did indeed leave him there with a promise to, "see you tomorrow then."
And Will might have thought he would be tied to that chair for the entire night, for at least the hour or two he was left alone like that. But then he door opened and Tuck gasped, really hamming it up. He wasn't actually surprised at the state Will was in, but he was playing a role now. One he had gotten really good at over the last few years.
