John pulled a face and rolled his eyes. "You're a feckless shithead, Loxley," he sneered. "You underestimate the thoroughness of this arrangement. You are going to be here for a long, long time. I'm the only way you two will ever have anything of worth again in your long lives."

"Think again, smart-arse. Who do your think bankrolled young Evelyn's scholarship? If you don't want your daughter to exist in crushing debt, you better start being nice to me." John's expression brightened at the way Will looked at Tuck, his eyes widening. "Ah! Yet another thing your so-called lover-boy kept from you. Do you even know this man at all?" He punched Tuck playfully in the shoulder. "Honestly, I couldn't be prouder."
Will looked at Tuck like the man had just pulled down his trousers and done a shit on the floor. "You... bastard."
