John rubbed his hands together and chuckled to himself as the car bumped along the forest road. Back when Malcolm had first brought the old Friar to him, a few years back, he'd been sceptical of the man turning on his fellows. Over time, though, Tuck had proven himself to be a changed man. He'd brought them all sorts of information, and this particular plan had been in motion for a while. Secretly building a barn with bars cost money, not only in materials but in the right men to build it, men who could be paid to keep their opinions to themselves. And then there was the security setup, the surveillance room and the wifi cameras and all that shit. But it was worth it. John had been ecstatc when he'd been informed that Robin was caught. And now Will too! It was just too good.
"We're here, sir," said the driver, and John got out and strode to the farmhouse. There was an old Mini parked up next to Malcolm's sleek black SUV. Trust the Friar to drive an English car, now that he had a bit of money to spend. And there was a power cord snaking from the car to the house. The only thing about electric cars John liked was that you could sneak up on people in them.
He rapped firmly on the door, then tried the handle, letting himself into the house. "There you are. Ah, dinner. I'm starving."
