Jesse couldn't help but smile back, despite himself. Nicholas looked much the same, and he looked good. But that didn't mean he was about to lay out everything that had happened over the past two years. He didn't think Nicholas would turn them in, but he couldn't be too careful.
"Well thanks, so do you," he said, shifting his bags into a more comfortable grip. "And you know, can't complain. Still above ground, you know? How've you been?"
