"Yeah, man, it's why I'm here," Rhys replied easily, grinning as Jesse approached him. Rhys recognized Jesse from way back when he was a freshman in high school while Jesse had been a junior. They never talked in school nor shared any classes, but Nearside wasn't that big of a town and after two years in school together, Rhys had known him by sight if not by name. "So you're going to be the one training me?" Which would be fitting since the older man had told him about the opening.
"I've got to tell ya," Rhys began, his face utterly serious, save for the small twitch at the corner of his mouth. "I don't have any idea what I'm doing with all this stuff. Coffee isn't my thing, but I'm a fast learner and I'll do what I'm told." Rhys didn't know what type of atmosphere Crevasse had, as even though he'd lived next to the place for a full semester, he didn't often come to any of the nightly events. He was more of a university guy, spending time at his frat house, on the football field, or in the library.
