Who: Chelsea Cooperstein and Sofie Collins When: November 19th, 2009, late afternoon Where: Chelsea's home, 312 Laramie St Rating: PG at most
Summary: Chelsea gets a visitor Warnings: Probably none
Chelsea was getting really excited. When she'd put up the ad for scrap metal, she really hadn't expected someone from an actual gallery to contact her. It was the second person in as many weeks who'd shown interest in her work. Hopefully this woman would be just as enthusiastic about her sculptures as Key had been.
If Chelsea could walk, she probably would have been pacing back and forth probably. Instead, she sat in her living room, the TV on low, tapping her fingers nervously on the armrest of her blue wheelchair. Unlike her last visitor, she'd actually had warning about Sofie coming over, so she'd taken the time to clean things up and to actually dress a little better- nice clean black shoes, black pants and a red blouse, with the top button undone to show her chai necklace. She'd even made an attempt to do something with her hair, pulling it back into a small ponytail to stop herself from constantly brushing it out of her eyes.
Now all there was to do was wait. She absentmindedly watched the Speed channel, trying to force herself not to bite her nails, but still peeking out the window every now and then to see if another car had pulled up behind her truck and listening to hear someone coming up the ramp to the front door. She hated herself for being so nervous, but it was understandable. This was the first time she had actually had someone from an art gallery coming to look at her work. It wasn't just friends or someone just randomly dropping by this time, it was someone who actually knew something about art and she had no idea what to expect.
