"I don't even have a license back home," Sam admitted. Living in London, he'd hardly needed one. No way would he attempt driving in the States, not with the direction changes and snow and everything. He was about to say as much when the car started, and he was instantly blasted with sound.
He actually flinched a bit at the volume, laughing along with Jesse as the volume lowered. "I should be used to it, yeah?" he said with a smile. He also reached out and turned it up just a bit. It didn't need to be that low.
The drive didn't take long at all, and he kept his eyes on the streets as they made their way. He hadn't had much of a chance to really see the town beyond the immediate area around Solaris Avenue, and he found the drive quite pleasant, actually. As Jesse slowed the car, Sam looked eagerly around at the neighbourhood his friend had grown up in. Nice. Very American, definitely, and different from Sam's own childhood town. But quite peaceful and homey.
