"Shut up," Jesse responded back instantly, though it was said good-naturedly. He really was well aware that he wasn't the best of drivers, but he was always about a hundred times more careful when there was someone else in his car. Besides, he had driven to his house loads of times. He could probably do it in his sleep with his eyes closed, though it wasn't something he would actually try. (As much fun as it sounds.)
Heading out to his car after they'd left the elevator and exited the building, Jesse swung his scarf around his neck before reaching for the keys in his pocket. He'd noticed Sam's mistake, though he didn't comment on it. He was unable to hold back a bit of a laugh, however, and he grinned as he climbed into the driver's seat.
Doing up his seatbelt, he looked over at Sam before starting the car. "You do know you're not allowed to drive, right? You don't even have a license." He stuck the key in the ignition then, starting up the car. They were instantly blasted with high-volumed music, and Jesse reached over to turn it down with a laugh. "See? It's not just my apartment that gets that loud," he murmured as he turned on the heat, then looked around before pulling out of the spot.
