"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Job excuses and such," Jesse said with a smirk, waiting for Sam to gather up all of his winter essentials. He'd actually had the day off today, which was rather unusual for a weekend, but he wasn't going to complain about it. Even if Sam had managed to wriggle out of going, he'd still probably be over at his parents for dinner. It wasn't like he was going to cook for himself or anything.
He stepped out of the apartment before Sam, waiting as he locked the door. Playing with the fringe on the end of his scarf, he moved over towards the elevator as Sam did. "Oh, driving?" He answered, though raised an eyebrow slightly at the tone of Sam's voice. He was well aware that he'd managed to make driving with him sound like the end of the world, even though it totally wasn't. Hell, he'd managed to drive safely enough with Jamie in the car all those times.
As the elevator opened, he slid in past Sam to get in first, leaning back against the wall. "Don't worry. You'll be perfectly safe."
