"I'm ready," Sam said, perfectly used to Jesse bounding into his flat without knocking by now. He grabbed his coat, but hesitated over the scarf and gloves. He ended up grabbing them as well as his hat, just in case. "It's not as if I was deliberately keeping them waiting. I just wanted to clean up a bit after work."
He rather had been holding off on the day though. Even if last Wednesday's cancellation had certainly not been his fault. He would be slightly embarrassed to learn that he'd been discussed so much, though it would also please him, secretly. He was looking forward to meeting the famous Jamie. He rather felt as though he knew him already, with the way Jesse went on and on sometimes. It was sweet, really, and Sam was looking forward to seeing the two of them interact.
He ushered Jesse out of the flat, and locked the door behind them. He called the lift, then moved to put his jacket on, leaving it open. "Are we walking or taking your car?"
