It wasn’t that inconvenient, seeing as Sunnyside was just across the street from the Spectrum complex (and Lady would provide at least Theo with hours of entertainment), but Staas had a fair point about the food. It was a practical plan, and as willing as Ira was to take care of the children whenever necessary, god forbid any real emergency that kept Staas from his kids would occur.

Oh my.” Ira winced in mock sympathy as Alida dished out a sound drubbing to all ninjas on the sidewalk, frightening off a few innocently pecking pigeons on the side. “They won’t try that again anytime soon,” he commented, when the flailing stopped and the little girl took up his hand once more. “A princess pirate knight ninja makes for a formidable opponent.”
