Koemi had been sure to address any questions that Staas or Ira might have for her between bouts of conversation with Alida. She, too, found it amusing that Ira chose to sit on the floor, but felt a touch bad that she hadn't pulled over an adult-sized chair for either of them. She had gotten so used to the children's seats that she didn't even bother pulling over the big ones anymore.
Bringing a notebook over to the table and some crayons, Emi listened to Alida's story with great interest. "It's good that Mr. Ira got to your house before the power went out! But it sounds like you all kept pretty busy."
Emi couldn't help but feel a little giddy when Alida mentioned shadow puppets, since that is what had occupied her own little brother during the power outage. That same feeling rushed up a second time at the mention of Candyland.
"Candyland? I have that game, too. I had no idea that they changed his name!"
It was a fact that Alida was cute to boot and ever difficult to detract attention from, but Emi paused when Alida was finished telling her story to check on how the other two were coming along in their paperwork. This was the first time she had sat in for an arrangement like this and it made her feel quite official. Next in line was making all of the proper copies and filing everything in the right place. Making sure that Alida was all set up with the crayons and paper, Emi turned to Ira and couldn't hold back a bemused smile upon remembering that he was sitting on the floor.
"Oh-- Mr. Ira? If you'd like, I can make copies of your ID now while you are finishing your paperwork. Then it will all be filed together with the office aid."
