It had been one busy day for Koemi; from cutting up little snowflakes with small groups of children, to engaging them in large-piece puzzles and countless stories. It was typical and, as always, she thoroughly enjoyed playing along with the little tots- but she had gotten swamped with chasing them around that two of her charges had already made a bee-line for their father and she barely had time to catch up. Emi easily recognized Staas and relaxed a little as she approached the doting father with his excited little ones. She realized that a new visitor was with him today, but noted that the children seemed just as happy to see him and were quite familiar.
In all the time she had been working at Little Sprouts, she would have to admit that she had never seen two children more excited to go home. Theo and Alida had become somewhat of her personal favorite, since their boundless energy was matched only by their sweetness and creativity.
"I just couldn't keep up with you two today, huh?" she said, smiling, as she finally caught up with them. She turned her attention to Staas as she straightened to a standing position (her back could definitely use the stretching after a day of being knelt over and sitting in toddler chairs). "They kept me pretty busy-- we had loads of fun, of course."
Taking note of Ira once again as Theo scrambled into his arms, Koemi laughed lightly. "Who is your friend, Theo?"
