Their friendship wasn't very complex. Of course, it had started out as her following him around like a lost puppy- but only because she was completely uninterested in what the other girls her age were doing and the other boys her age didn't think it was 'cool' to play with girls- why not make a new friend where it was available. Years down the line it would just happen that ALL of her friends were sports-crazed boys, but she didn't mind; she had no idea what was expected of girls her own age anyway.. and she liked to think that she still retained a very feminine quality despite it all. Even so, among them Rhys was probably her best friend (which could actively be displayed by his running to her rescue with some of her favorite goodies now). Emi was so excited to see that he had even been thoughtful enough to bring games! She hoped he was ready to be schooled in any single one of them as it was her forte.
"Yeah, we're cool. I think Shouta's about to pass out," she said with a glance over her shoulder at the tiny boy trying to steady his flashlight over a picture book. One glance at all he had brought and already she snatched up a nerd rope and grabbed some napkins to accommodate the rest. Though, she did give the evil eye in the general direction of the apple pie.
She had just opened her mouth to mention that she'd be a good girl and stray away from his Poptarts when he noted that the Candyland game was probably hers. Putting on her most serious face she shook her head and tucked Monolopy under her free arm. "No, Candyland is definitely yours. I'm sure you and your other football buddies pregame with that... I might even have a faint memory floating around here somewhere." She tapped her forehead whimsically before snickering under her breath.
Koemi took the cookies and ice cream into the living room, where there was a coffee table low to the ground that they could play on, and set out the Monolopy board and napkins. Heading back to take the lamp off of the table she shrugged sympathetically as she passed Rhys-- since she had already worked herself up into the joking spirit she might as well keep on with it. "I really hope I don't destroy your ego. I'll try to take it easy, if I can- oh! can you grab some spoons from the first drawer on the left?"
