A part of him thought he should have some kind of concern for the amount of bouncing around Sloane was doing, but Noah really just couldn't help himself from foregoing the concern and instead turning his camera on and following Sloane around as she bounced from place to place in anticipation of her aunt Naomi coming to visit.
"Nooooooaaah," Sloane drug out his name as she stood with her hands on her hips, "Why are you taping me?" The five year old paused in her rapid movements to ask him as they moved down the aisle of the barn. "Auntie Naomi is going to be here any minute and she's not going to be able to see you if you're hiding behind your camera!"
Noah just chuckled to himself at Sloane's words, having given up trying to explain to his little shadow that it wouldn't matter if her aunt Naomi could see him or not - it still wouldn't make them date. But he could commend her on her valiant effort and unwillingness to give up on her idea. "I think your aunt Naomi will still be able to see me, I'm not hard to miss," he paused a moment before adding. "Also she's here to see you, I'm just here because you asked me to be," he pointed out with a faint smile, "And y'know I think I hear someone pulling into the driveway now," Noah wasn't trying to change the subject, okay, maybe he was.
True to any five year old, Sloane was easily distracted from her earlier thought of making sure her aunt and him hit it off. "C'mon," she waved her hand at Noah as she raced out of the barn, turning around only briefly to say. "Turn the camera off," the little girl flashed a smile as she said this, though she didn't slow down her flat out run towards the parking area near the barn as she spoke.
"Okay," he just laughed and shook his head, turning off the camera and sliding it into his bag. "Sloane, slow down." Noah called as he moved at a much slower pace towards the car that had just pulled into the parking area.
