Because she couldn't say that things would go well if or when Miranda decided to introduce her boyfriend to their father, Mona just shrugged. She snorted out a laugh at Miranda's admission. "Don't think you can avoid that. No matter what Daddy knows before or if you ask him not to, he's gonna be evaluating Jasper or whatever." And if Miranda really thought that might not happen, she must be deluding herself. "Mama could probably help, but then I thought she'd help when Sky came, and we know how well that worked out. So he's got a daughter that doesn't know he's dating. Have you met her yet?" she asked curiously.
At Miranda's reply, Mona frowned and looked down at the top of her son's head, grinning faintly when he let out an impressive burp. She situated him in the seat again so he could finish his bottle. "I... I know we haven't been, but..." She shrugged, glanced back at Miranda as she picked up her fork. "You can talk to me. I mean, I know I'm not the best for giving advice, but I won't tease you... much." As the older sister, it was kind of her right to tease at least a little.
