Miranda nodded. “I think it’s within your rights to want to do it your way,” she replied. She remembered Mona’s first wedding and she certainly couldn’t see her sister or Sky enjoying that kind of a spectacle. She paused before asking her next question, hesitant to sound ignorant. “Is a date usually set when you’re planning a courthouse wedding?” Resisting the urge to glance at her plate, she looked curiously at Mona. “Obviously when you choose a venue or a church you set a date, but I guess I don’t know much about courthouse ceremonies. I’d like to know when it is though, if you don’t mind.” Now she was rambling, but she couldn’t seem to turn it off. “Of course you aren’t required to invite me to be there,” she finished finally, wanting to make sure that she wasn’t expecting Mona to want her there, even though she would like to be.
