"So, where did you say you found this place?" Carrie leaned over to pick her purse up from between her feet, looking over her shoulder as she let herself out of the car.
"Work." Clicking out of the Pandora station she'd had up on her 'phone, Alice looked up distractedly to check the dashboard to make sure it was clear, then dropped her 'phone into her purse. "One of the guys in Sales wants to do a happy hour here at some point, but it's never really taken off. Too many cats to herd to make it happen."
Carrie crossed her arms loosely over her chest, nodding faintly as she watched her sister get everything squared away, then get out. "Anyone ever tell you you drive like a maniac?" She grinned a little evilly at the look Alice shot her. "You're going to get pulled over one of these days. And then where will you be?"
"It's called batting your eyes and looking cute," Alice teased, reaching over her shoulder to lock the car with her fob. "Wibble a little, whimper a bit." She tossed her hair, settling the hem of her shirt and hiking her purse up higher on her shoulder. "And voilà, off you go!" Slinging an arm over Carrie's shoulders, she leaned in and grinned. "And no worse for the wear, chérie." She laughed, tweaking one of her sister's curls as Carrie rolled her eyes.
"I hear nothing, I know nothing," Carrie muttered good-naturedly, bumping her hip to Alice's and winding an arm around her sister in return. She pushed her other hand into her pocket, looking around the parking lot to see if she couldn't spot Erica's car. "Why do you tell me these things, anyway?" Snorting in amusement, she turned her head back and raised an eyebrow. "If you don't, then I really can't testify against you."
Alice beamed, broadly and innocently, making to put her 'phone in her pants before making a noise. "Right, no pockets in this pair," she muttered, lifting her hand to drop it into her purse. "So, what time is Erica meeting us?" She reached out to open the door, then drew back as a couple fell through, laughing and holding on to each other. "Looks like a fun time," Alice said mildly, letting them pass, then tugging on Carrie's sleeve to motion her in first. "Shall we look around to see if we can find her?"
