RP: Second Interview Date: March 14th, 2012 Characters: Erica Allen, Jula Jozwik, Pierre and Brigitte Dijoux (NPCs) Location: La Belle Femme Status: Semi-Private Rating: PG Summary: Second interviews are happening today, and Brigitte is the test. Completion: Complete
Though Erica thought Pierre's whole plan for the second round of interviews was rather genius, the first two today were really making her start to worry that Brigitte was just too good an actress and that they would never find someone who could handle her bridezilla act with a cool head and still want to work with them. After the second interviewee left, they had about ten minutes before the next interview was scheduled, and Erica pulled Pierre aside for a minute. "I really love this whole idea," she told him. "But it might be better if Brigitte toned it down just a little." She hoped he wouldn't mind the suggestion, but considering the last girl had been near to tears when she'd left, Erica thought it was a good one. Yes, many of the brides could be very demanding, but only very few of them were has awful as Brigitte was acting.
"Hmm." Pierre seemed to be considering the suggestion seriously, which was something of a relief. "I could speak with her, yes," he finally said, his accent obvious but not overwhelming to the point of not being able to understand him. "But maybe only a little bit. It is not supposed to be easy."
"Of course not. Thank you, Pierre," Erica replied with a smile, truly thankful that he was even considering her suggestion. She felt like she had to prove everyday that she deserved the promotion to Manager, and it was always nice to feel like your opinion mattered.
"Yes, yes. Now, who is coming in next?" he asked, looking over her shoulder to see the scheduler sitting on the counter. Brielle and Liz were both working the floor today while Pierre and Erica took care of the interviews. It was a little unusual for all of them to be at the shop at the same time, but it was necessary today and tomorrow while Erica and Pierre wouldn't be available to the customers.
"That would be Jula Jow... Yeah, I'm not sure how that's pronounced," she admitted after taking a look at the schedule.
Pierre tapped a finger to his lips. "Ah, Jowzik, yes. It is a Polish name," he informed her with a small smile, and she made a little 'ah' sound in reply. "She was the young one, no? Remind me again of your impression of her before she arrives."
At the request, Erica hesitated only for a moment before answering. "She seemed hesitant and unsure of what she was doing here. According to her application, she's only worked in restaurants, so that was a big part of it, I think. She was honest and blunt to a point, if a little vague when it came to personal details." She knew that the way that interview had gone, she probably shouldn't have even called Jula for a second interview, but she'd seen something familiar in the younger woman, and she wanted to give her a second chance.
"I see, I see. Well!" He clapped his hands together, as if closing the topic. "We shall see how she does today, then. And, hmm, is that her now?" he asked, nodding his head toward the window where the young blonde was just reaching the door to the shop.
Erica looked, then nodded. "Yes, that's her," she answered, and then she smiled a little more when Jula came into the shop.
