RP: Help Wanted? Date: March 7th, 2012 Characters: Erica Allen, Jula Jozwik Location: La Belle Femme Status: Semi-Private Rating: PG Summary: Jula stumbles across a 'help wanted' sign up at La Belle Femme Completion: Complete
Today was one of her days off, which meant Jula was doing the same thing she had been doing on most of her days off - searching for a different job. Working at the bar and grille was miserable and didn't pay nearly well enough to put up with being leered at and grabbed on a nightly basis. So far she was coming up empty handed, as she was determined not to work in a restaurant and didn't particularly want to do the whole coffee barista thing either.
She was cursing her decision to dress up and look professional while she did this, her feet nearly begging for a good old fashion pair of sneakers. The dress slacks and top weren't bad, it was just the heels that Jula was regretting. Giving up was looking more and more appealing as she moved along the side walk, window shopping while she kept her eyes open for any kind of 'help wanted' signs out in any of the store windows. She wouldn't have even stopped in front of the bridal shop on this street if it hadn't been for that sign, and she stood outside the shop for a handful of minutes trying to talk herself out of going inside. Because really what did she know about working at a bridal shop? But a job was a job and Jula knew better than to pass an opportunity up.
Stepping into the shop, Jula paused just inside the door and looked around as she tried to fight down any kind of nerves she might have about this. The worst they could do was tell her she was too young or too inexperienced, and that was the thought going through her mind as she stepped up to the counter, smiling at the woman standing behind it. "So, I saw you had a help wanted sign in the window and was just curious if you're still looking?" She tried not to fidget as she waited for the woman to reply, already in the back of her mind writing this place off and preparing to head back out onto the sidewalk and continue looking.
