There is no such thing as a perfect world. And here's the reason why, godlings. Remember to be grateful for your lives after this.
Time: From April 24th (11:59 PM EST) to May 2nd (11:59 PM EST)
Location: Everywhere.
EVENT DESCRIPTION: Characters will slowly find something strange happening in their homes. Whether they are to wake or are still up, a perfect life will being to unravel. Whatever is their idea of perfection - it is happening but it is only happening within their homes. Their perfect lives cannot escape into the streets and take over. They can leave their houses but when they go back, that life will be waiting for them, whatever it may be.
And it will be so very perfect (whatever is THEIR idea of perfect). There is no way to stress this more. Yet, that is the flaw. There is no room for change and it's not as if people have only one idea of perfect. They may be crowded by many perfect ideas and figures.
And on top of that, these lives may also contain 'duplicates' of those in-game.
For example: Elaine will wake up and find herself with Lancelot. It's not the game's Lancelot, it's her desired perfect!Lancelot. But then she also finds perfect!Aeneas waiting for her. And perfect!Gawain, perfect!Mordred, perfect!Uriel. An unwanted harem is created, made from momentary ideas of what her perfect life should have been like and with which man (Gawain from when he tried to help her before Lancelot did, Mordred because she contemplated it, Uriel because she's weak and lusted before telling herself no firmly, etc). Then she discovers an apologetic!Gwynevere, born from a time when she harbored a grudge, who may or may trail after her in the home. Her governess Brisane will be about (a character clearly not in-game). Her houseboy is perfect!Agravaine. And, hilariously enough, she would even have a perfect-perfect!Galahad who is the best son ever and calls her Mama.
Overload. It is perfection overload. They can live but they will always be compelled to return home every night, compelled to live with their perfect lives at least a certain amount of hours a day (we'd safely say three-quarters of the time when they aren't working or at school). ANy figure from their life is fair game but will be of their perception.
If characters with live with others (NPCs), those people will seem to become used to these lives, become integrated with the perfection. If character live with others (characters in-game), their perfect lives with mingle.
For example: Galahad would want a mother who doesn't disappoint or just is there for him. Perhaps he has had thoughts of Elaine being the perfect mother, one who didn't allow him to be sent off. And while he is being entertained by this perfect!Elaine in his home, the real one could come by and see this. Be startled and be more aware. OR: Angrboda will want Odin's head mounted somewhere. Her children would not mind, even be delighted by it. OR: Gwynevere may secretly crave a world where Morgause plays a maternal figure to her, where she can see Sophie, where Arthur and/or Lancelot could be hers. And if she lived with her cousin Hemera, then Hemera would know all from what she saw there.
Some people may believe their lives are as perfect as they get. Break apart that reasoning with pained flawlessness, create drama and whatever else you like.
List below who your characters may have in their homes or begin posting about those in your characters' homes. Remember that any and all perfect versions are your characters' projections and are not the true characters. It's all about your characters' mindset and feelings. Talk it out if you are worried about anything but we trust you all to remember this is for fun. ♥
