Jill Agrat; born in Brazil, she had a pretty cool childhood, in her own epic opinion. The family moved around a lot because her father was a Marine, so she grew up primarily on military bases. Her parents were married up until just before she turned fourteen, and she has two older brothers who she's close with - one is an actuary and the other is in the Air Force. She rarely speaks to her mother since her parents' divorced, but she's still daddy's little girl.
Baldr; was born in Sweden and had an idyllic childhood. His parents are still ecstatically married and both he and his younger sister are employed in the family company. He still speaks with all of them, even crazy grandmom Duerning, and is slowly but surely getting Nanna used to their family traditions.
Charon; born on Martha's Vineyard, he grew up an only child. His father is a fisherman and his mother a housewife, both quiet folk. There wasn't a lot of talking in their house. He talks to them on occasion.
Echo; born in San Francisco, she grew up incredibly sheltered. Her parents are still married; her mother was indifferent to having children so barely paid attention to her while her father is a psychologist who saw his daughters' aspergers syndrome as a challenge. She ran off after she graduated high school to go to college in NYC, and talks to her family rarely.
Eve; born and raised in Bensonhurst, New York by her mother, Eve never met her father before he was shipped overseas with the Air Force. Her mother is incredibly religious, and she and Eve are quite close.
Euterpe; born to a concert flautist and a fiddler in an Irish folk band who lived in Astoria, NY, Euterpe had a great childhood up until her mom was killed by a drunk driver. Between suddenly remembering who she really was and her father's attempts to move on with his life she went through a dark, depressive phase that put a huge distance between her and her father. Now, they speak on occasion, but since she loathes her step-mother Euterpe mainly avoids them whenever she can.
Mordred; son of a single mother (his father ran off after finding out she was pregnant and she received their divorce papers by mail a few months after Mordred was born) in Stratford-on-Avon, his earliest memory of his father involves when the man tried to teach a three-year old Mordred how to swim and he nearly drowned in the ocean. He has two younger half-brothers in Castor and Pollux, who he loves despite their shared father. He still speaks to his mother on occasion but barely acknowledges his father.
