Characters: Charon and Mary Magdalene
Date/Time: Monday Afternoon
Location: Central Park
Rating: PG for now
Warnings: None yet
Summary: So, we were married in Zurvan...should we feel awkward about that?
Mary had suggested a walk because she was legitimately concerned about the whole Midas touch thing that was happening. Except for one apple in the kitchen when she'd accidentally grabbed a hot tray of cookies, she'd managed to avoid any other transformations at work. She wanted to keep it that way, and she figured she had less opportunities to touch things while wandering around Central Park than she did while trying to juggle a mug of coffee.
So Central Park it was.
She was wearing a jacket because the weather was still chilly, but spring was definitely coming. It felt good to be outside. It felt even better to see Charon again, although she could also feel the usual confusing set of emotions swirling somewhere in the vicinity of her stomach. Nothing had outwardly changed in their interactions, but the fact remained that there was this whole weird parallel dimension in which everything had changed. And they could both say all they wanted that they were all right with that, but Mary still felt weird.
“Apple?” she asked, offering him the one that had once been a tray of cookies. “I think they're safe to eat. I've been eating them, anyway.”
