Eos' eyes widened at the snap, and she took an involuntary step towards the corner of the elevator. Her blue eyes filled with sorrow like a child that has been caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
"Okay?" she whispered, wrapping her arms around her at the coldness of his temper, "Dietre, I didn't mean anything bad by it..." she tilted her head, giving him a tentative smile, "Don't be upset?" she squeezed his hand, tugging him into the elevator, "Huh?"
The answer had thrown her completely off guard. Afraid of what I'll think of him? What does that mean?
"I think you're sweet, gorgeous and a little too tense." Eos teased him with the last part, "Oh I'm not either." her smile faltered, "I'm really awful with people. I can't keep friendships or relationships for very long." she sighed softly, "But I like to keep optimistic." she finished, lifting her head, "After all, the sun rises everyday. So should our spirits."
His favorite color earned a happy noise from the small goddess. Bouncing on her feet, she nodded enthusiastically.
"Beautiful, beautiful..." she wiggled her fingers, focusing on them, "I know just the thing."
As soon as the elevator doors parted, she took his hand again and tugged on his arm.
