Who: Tessa
When: 4:00 pm
Where: Empty building on the main strip
What: Tessa starts to settle down...
Tessa had been an unofficial resident of Mysteria for almost a week now, having been tipped off that this might be a good place to spend some time. Maybe Zen-out for a while, think about things. Her production job in LA was so fast paced, and when she took it, she needed that to keep her mind busy. Now, she wanted the time to think. She was realizing some very unsettling things about herself, and she wanted to have some time to sort those things out. She was young still, very young for her kind, and she would have to live with herself for a long time.
Her first week had been spent as a cougar, getting the lay of the land, and just existing. It was a nice way to live, but one she knew she couldn't keep up. She had to find something to make her appear legitimate, something that wouldn't be as taxing, but would let her feel a sense of community. So, she'd hired a Realtor, a ditsy woman, and begun looking at homes as well as businesses.
"This is a lovely... um... place," the brunette said perkily, opening the door to a cobweb infested room. Tessa brushed past her and stepped inside, not caring about its current state, but more its potential. The ground floor was definitely workable, and started speaking to her immediately. It had a nice vibe, and the porch overlooked some lovely property.
"It's a fixer-upper but it's got a very low asking price, though I know you said you weren't worried about all that. And the upstairs- which is far better- is a 3 bedroom townhouse..." The Realtor kept talking, but Tessa stopped paying attention. This was it. She knew it before she even saw the upstairs.
"Get the papers," she interrupted, snapping her fingers. "And get the owners on the phone. I want this place by the time business closes." The other woman jumped and scurried off, while Tessa leaned against a counter and started making a list. This was going to be quite the project, the perfect physical task.
