Highway to Hell

Who: Gideon and Bridgette
When: During Eclipse.
Where: Leaving The Last Round and headed for the hell gate.
What: Gideon goes to check the hell gate for leaks to fix and Bridgette tags along.



It was decided that while everyone ran to the nexus and tried to kill the shades, that Gideon was going to go and make sure no more could appear. It hadn't been announced that he was going to the hell gate. Very few people in the room knew about it, let alone that he was guardian of it. While he might not be shy about telling people what he was, telling them what he did was a different story. Especially with Bridgette in the picture. And Irene. Both could be used against him to get the gate if it was general knowledge.

For the first time since entering the bar, Gideon finally let go of Bridgette so that he could gather up a few of the things Casey had everyone gathered. Both light and holy water would be usual once he landed and checked out the gate. He was strapping on a super soaker when he looked up at Bridgette. He hated leaving her but it was too dangerous. He should have known that his daughter had other ideas.

The Plan in Action

What: Gideon returns to The Last Round with the teens and the plan is set into motion.



Getting back to the bar had to have been the most nerve racking few minutes of Gideon's whole life. He had flown over head of the cars, chasing back any shades that might try and get near them. The whole time he was afraid that the car Bridgette was in was going to crash. It was probably a fear without reason but he couldn't help it anyway. As soon as they reached The Last Round, Gideon yelled for the door to be opened while gesturing for the kids to run.

Soon the bar as a full as it would have been during opening hours. As soon as the door closed behind them, Gideon let his wings disappear back into his back while he looked around the room. No one had gotten ate it seemed. Not only that but it looked like they had been busy why he was gonna. He could see Casey and Sophia filling up...were those squirt guns? Yeah, they were squirt guns. As soon as they filled one, Ash would bless it.

In another section of the bar he noticed a few people taking out blacklights and replacing them with a white one. Gideon could only assume they were uv ones. Both were good ideas and from the activity in the room it appeared that it hadn't been all Casey getting things ready. "So are we having a white t-shirt contest or planning to kick some ass?" Gideon's arm went around Bridgette's shoulders and he pulled her against his side. It wasn't over yet and he didn't want to let her go until it was.

Where: Amy’s house
What: Dealing with the rising panic and a frightened kitty.

Amy finished shutting all of her windows and scattering salt around the frames and whispering yet another spell in the bathroom. Soon she was trotting down the stairs to the kitchen and picked up a bag of crystals. She scattered them to the floor and a circle formed. They glowed a little and she could concentrate on reading and trying to find some helpful light spells. She sat on the floor as her little cauldron bubbled away on the hob. She looked up and smiled weakly at Jesse.

It was to hope all of their dates wouldn’t end up being tempered by mysterious creatures trying to kill everyone.

She picked up her phone again to call Kate. Engaged. She figured plenty of people would be wanting her. She'd try again in a couple of minutes.

She looked up to check none of the candles were threatening to burn the place down and went back to her silent worry.

The Start of a Plan!

Who: Casey and Sophia
When: During the eclipse
Where: The Last Round
What: Casey takes his hunter in training aside and sits down to come up with a plan.



Things were getting stressful in The Last Round. Everyone locked in together, must people not even knowing each other, and one pain in the ass, tempers were on edge. Gideon had put Casey in charge until he got back and Casey planned on doing something. This was what he was good at, hunting things that went bump in the night, and he wasn't going to sit on his hands while he waited for Gideon to get back. Those things outside had to be dealt with before someone tried killing someone else and got teleported out of the bar by the wards Gideon had installed on the place.

Hooking an arm around Sophia's waist again, he lead her to a corner of the bar away from the others and sat down at the table there. "We got to do something. It's time to kill these little fuckers."

Fly By Night

Who: Gideon and Teens

Where: The Streets
What: Gideon goes after Bridgette and ends up meeting her and the other teens on their way to the last round.



The moment Gideon had stepped outside of The Last Round he had taken to the air. It took some of the shades interest off of the building as they peeled away to go follow him. He just hoped that he was faster than they were. Whenever they got to close he would send out a bolt of lightening at them, the special properties of the bolts frying the little bastards. The whole time he was focused on getting to school so he could get to Bridgette. If those things had somehow managed to get into the school...no, he couldn't think about that. He had to remember that Bridgette was a smart girl.

Anyone looking out their windows would have found it odd that there was lightening crossing the sky during an eclipse and the fact that it was snowing out. The snow didn't slow down Gideon. He flew as fast as he could until he noticed the cars that were coming down the road. Now it might not have been so odd if it wasn't for the fact that some of the people in the cars were glowing. The glowing helped him notice a pair of red wings.

Gideon turned quickly in the air and went after the cars, coming down and landing on the roof of the one had had seen a flash of red wing in.

Run, Raven, Run!

Who: Raven and Fox
When: The noon hour
Where: The streets before heading to The Last Round
What: Raven's out taking pictures of some local Christmas store displays when all hell breaks lose.



Taking pictures for a small town newspaper was a lot different than bigger ones. Christmas was still a few weeks away and the paper wanted to run a page featuring some of the Christmas displays in town. Raven had decided to start with the stores first. While she was taking pictures she kept an eye for anything that she might want to send her parents. Every year she sent them a gift. She hadn't been home for a Christmas for a few years now. Her parents kept asking but she kept coming up with a reason not to. Really, she didn't want to explain Fox to them. They wouldn't be able to see him, but he was hard to ignore, especially for a few days. Maybe if they could see him things would have been easier to explain.

Raven stepped back out on to the streets. With the snow falling on the ground it was a lot easier to see Fox walking next to her heels. "Before you ask, not I am not picking you up and carrying you."

Where: Police Station
What: just trying to cope.

As the power in the station went out Quinton cursed silently. Luckily though there were plenty of torches around and a back up generator. Hey, they had a lot of important information on the computers and evidence rooms that needed to stay alarmed.

He looked up cradling his son to him as he started to sob. “Shh…sh…it’s okay, Terry.” He said softly as he sat on a desk and looked up at his partner and her boyfriend.
He looked up to see what Robin was also doing. Well, they had planned on a quick lunch meal so everyone could get to meet one another but that had obviously not gone to plan. All he could think though was how thankful he was that Robin and Terry had gotten to the station safe, before this had happened. At least that was something.

“Think the boss man’s gonna find a way to blame us for this?” He asked. The lights buzzed a little with having less power running through them than usual. But at least the electrics inside were working again now. Made things easier than scrambling about in the dark.
Quinton looked up, “Think since the generators working here…we’d be able to watch some of the CCTV we’ve got up around the station to see what’s happening out there?”

“We should see about phoning a few of our contacts, I’ll try getting in touch with Kate and Sophie. How about you see to phoning Gideon?” He asked as he handed Terry over to Robin who clung to him tightly and sucked his thumb.

Whats going on with the world today?

What: Work on a car that had gone in to a wall was halted by the eclipse.

Okay, maybe it was paranoia. But an eclipse that was not predicted and that had already lasted for six minutes was really beginning to worry her. Well worry was the wrong word. Scare her. Rigid. She grabbed the torches from the side and walked towards the little door at the side and shone it out in to the street seeing if she could spot anyone out there. When she didn’t see anyone she closed the door quickly and turned the flashlight off.

She walked back to the little office and sat down on the couch next to Rhys. She didn’t feel good about this!

He looked to the window then turned on the television to see if there was any new about this.

What: A normal lunchtimes business is interrupted.

As soon as the lights went out, the worry inside the shop climaxed. Scrabbling in the dark Nicola started to light the Christmas Candles around the café. Luckily she had decorated the place fully. She stood back as the shop was awash in a dim yellow glow.

Tentatively she walked over to the windows, her shop had huge windows on to sides looking out on to the street. She’d shouted everyone in she could from off of the streets her powers going hay wire. Her head throbbed as she got flashes of things happening all around her. She’d gotten so dizzy and faint before the blackout.

Backing away from the windows quickly as in the corner of her eye she spotted movement. She rushed back over towards Delos and clutched at her head. She tensed for a moment before she sat down in a chair near the till.

About to head out when suddenly....

What: Two angels and a brother are getting a bit nervous to see the change in the climate.

Ryu pauses as she passed her window. At first from the other side of the room she though that the fading light was just an overcast of clouds. The view she saw outside was completely different. She had gotten dressed just before to head out to the Last Round. She was in need to see Gideon again, to answer some questions. This was...this was not right. That eclipse first of all was happening far to quickly, and she was noticing the the light about her was starting to flicker some. "Tsume," she called out to her brother, as she went back to her kitchen to grab the flash light from under the counter.

Lu, she has to get Lu too. But first she had to get her brother. Perhaps knowing Lu, as soon as he'd notice something was wrong, he'd be knocking on her door instead.

They Only Come Out at Night

What: Everyone is out working with the horse when the eclipse hits.



Brooke was out with Odin when the eclipse hit. At first she didn't think anything about it. It was just an eclipse right? It wasn't usual for those things to happen. Still it seemed like a good idea to put up Odin anyway. He could get a bit testy when it came to change. Dark in the middle of the afternoon was a big change. Especially when it didn't seem to be passing over. That was a bit odd. Weren't these things supposed to just pass? There one minute, gone the next? She didn't think anything about what had been lurking in the dark until she heard Anna scream.

Anna hadn't gone to school. She had a bad night last night with her dreams and Brooke was now wondering if this was way. Hopping back up on Odin, Brooke went racing in the direction that she had heard the scream.

Ground Zero

Who: Gideon and Open to All

Where: The Last Round
What: The employees of The Last Round are doing inventory when the eclipse hits. Gideon opens the door to The Last Round to any who wish to hide inside.



For it being just a little after noon on a week day, The Last Round was hopping. Okay, not really hopping but there was more people in it than usual. More people and more booze. Both were due to the fact that inventory was having to be done for the books. While The Last Round was there for a reason, it was still a bar and still a business. That meant it had to be kept up like one. So Gideon had hauled his employees in to help. After all, he wasn't going to do it all himself.

He was just coming out of the back room with another case when he notice it was starting to get dark outside the window. Setting the box down, Gideon went over to check it out. Who had ordered a solar eclipse? He didn't recall hearing about one. That alone told this was not going to be a good day. As long as people stayed inside they'd be safe. Bridgette was at school. So was Irene. That meant that neither one of them had a reason to go outside.

"You guys stay inside," he told the room, before going over and opening the door, looking for anyone who might be out on the streets.

Day: Over cast skies. Light snow showers through out the day. High of 34F.
Night: Over cast skies. Low of 7F.

Events:
12:10pm: During lunch time for most Mysterians, a solar eclipse moves in. No one heard anything on the news or in the papers about one, yet one is happening. The streets of Mysteria are suddenly dark in the middle of the day. It doesn't take The Shades long to realize this and soon come out to play. Oddly enough, this solar eclipse is lasting longer than normal.

12:22pm: A driver has their window open just a crack to get some fresh air. The Shades waste no time. With no one to control the car, it crashes into the main transformer that supplies power to Mysteria. The town goes into a total blackout.

12:23pm: Mysteria residents start to realize the eclipse is not passing and they're in trouble.
