the defence meets the prosecution

[info]twisted_pup
Who: Theo, Quinton, Sam, Robin and Terry(NPC)
When: 2pm
Where: The police sation
What: Robin has dropped by to see Quinton and Sam while Theo is meant to be having a meeting with them

Theo had arranged a meeting with Quinton and Sam, he thought it about time they got this case rolling and he needed to meet the opposition, plus it was always good to annoy Quinton, so he'd arranged it through a secratary so he couldn't object to it or bitch at him on the phone. He stopped at the reception to sign in.

For some reason Robin always managed to slip past the reception unnotied even when carrying Quinton's two year old son who thought it was funny. He had run into the office to surprise Quinton and Sam unaware that they were about to go into a meeting and then just started rambling.

"-and then we went to the park and played on the swings and it was awesome oh and the slide! I got stuck, and Terry laughed at me which was mean, I got free though so all better and then Terry went down a few times and tried to get stuck but it didn't work, right lil man?" Robin said very quickly.

Terry nodded. "Nope!"

"Soooo anyway, then we went for food and we made a huge mess and it was fun and there may have been sugar but then i though why not come see you before Terry's nap time, because you miss us and stuff!" Robin nodded seriously. "But yeah, hiiii! We love you!"

"Yeah love you!" Terry piped up with a giggle. It was possible they were getting some strange looks by now.

"Oh and is there anything I can do for you?" Robin asked Sam, hey never known when you need a genie! It was at that point Robin finally shut up after about ten minutes of talking and actually allowed others to speak.

Just a little touch up

[info]sammybaby
Who: Sam and Open
Where: Just Fleur You
Why: Sam needs a little happiness in her life
When: 2:56pm
Status: Incomplete

It was amazing what a little make-up could do, Sam thought as she caught a glimpse of her reflection in the window of the quaint little flower shop as she reached for the handle. She had never been a fan or a user of foundation and cover-up but it turned into a necessity lately - especially when Reece's violent streaks sent his fists towards her face. He was usually careful making sure his blows landed on her torso or upper legs where no one would see them if she dressed 'properly'. Last night though the alcohol had put him in a tailspin and the fact that she apparently burnt his dinner didn't help. She had thought she would never get the shiner on her right cheek covered up - it hurt to even run the small sponge over it but she had forced herself to do it. She had to get out of the house and with Reese at work it was her only chance.

For a moment Sam stared at her reflection wondering how it had come to this... when had her life altered so dramatically that she was impressed with her own hiding skills? Who was she becoming? They were questions that plagued her restless mind as she pulled open the door of the shop, the sweet aroma of the wide assortment of flowers greeting her as she stepped inside the soothing palace.

Trying to make it through

[info]sammybaby
Who: Sam and Open
Where: Street
When: 2pm
Why: Sam has just done some shopping and is heading home
Status: Incomplete

It probably wasn't the best idea she had now that she actually had a moment to think about what she was doing but it was better than staying cooped up at home. She used to love being at home - it was funny how fast things could change. Shifting the grocery bag from her left hip to her right Sam let out a small grunt as her right shoulder cried out in pain at the weight that was put against her arm. Biting the inside of her lip Sam sucked in a deep breath through her nose to fight back the pain, a pain that she was sadly getting used to.

Pausing on the sidewalk Sam rolled her eyes at herself as she tried to adjust the plastic straps of the other grocery bag that were successfully cutting off the flow of blood into her hand as they dug into her forearm. "This isn't working," she mumbled beneath her breath as she headed towards a welcoming, if not a little wet, bench. Setting down her bags Sam stepped back with a heavy sigh - she needed a plan. When did getting groceries and some other shopping become difficult? Probably at the same time things at home did. Raising a hand Sam pushed back the red hood of her long wool coat, not caring about the soft flakes of white snow that started to salt her deep chestnut curls that tumbled forward in a free waterfall. Tilting her head back Sam's full rosy lips moved into a soft smile as the cool flakes hit her porceline skin - melting on contact. She had never minded winter. It was always such a pretty time of year.
