Who: Kate and open to witches and familiars
When: 5pm.
Where: Kate's Office.
What: Kate calls a coven meeting.

Kate had never felt more alone in her life that she did right now. She had finally broke down and told her parents. Her mother had cried and then when she was done she had blamed it on the magic. Kate had walked out of the house and hadn't even called her parents since. They were the only ones besides Edmond and Hope that knew. Edmond was there for her but most of the time he was around she felt so torn. On one hand she wanted to reach out and grab what could possibly be the last chance of love in her life and on the other hand she kept telling herself it wasn't fair to him since her life span had shortened even more.

The chemotherapy treatments she had started where making her feel even worse than the cancer did. The cancer was too aggressive for any other treatment and so Kate spent most of her time vomiting her insides out. Food was no longer appealing and usually the only time she did eat was when Edmond was around to make her.

Today she had stared at herself in the mirror for a while before she decided that she didn't look like something the cat dragged in and it would be safe to actually see people for a change. Since it had been a while since they had gotten together, she had picked up the phone and called the other witches in town to get together. Her plan was to surround herself with chatter so that at least for a little while she could forget.

In The End It Really Doesn't Matter

[info]undercover_hex
Who: Kate and Ed
When: Evening
Where: Kate's Place
What: Kate gets the bad news and needs some comfort.

Coming home from the hospital were Hope had given her the results of her blood work, Kate wandered through the house until she reached her bed room. Slowly she sat down at the end of the bed still feeling a bit numb. She should have known when Hope wanted to tell her in person and not over the phone that things weren't good. She had just figured it was an infection. Not...this.

For a long time Kate just sat there on the bed staring at the floor as it slowly sunk in. Then Kate herself sunk off the bed and on to the floor as she started crying. She wrapped her arms around herself as she did, reaching out for Ed through their link without even realizing it.

[info]in_the_ether
Who: Irene, OTA
When: 6 pm
Where: Xavier home/out and about
What: Irene goes running to preserve her girlish figure

Having cooked a steak and potato meal for both Bridgette and Gideon, Irene left both plates in the stove with a note.

Dinner's in the stove- warm it up a bit before you eat it. I've gone out jogging, will return!

<3, Irene

Ps. Eat the vegetables this time, please!

She tied her shoes tightly, double checking her iPod's battery before hooking the earbuds into her ears and heading out, a spring in her step to help out the warm-up process. She paused once outside The Last Round, doing a few stretches before losing herself in the rhythmic pounding of her feet on the pavement and top-40 dance beats in her ears.
