Jade paced the aisle in the pharmacy. She was late. She had been regular down to the day since she was fourteen. Now, now, she was late. What if she was actually pregnant? What would Ben do? He loved her, she knew that. She didn't believe it herself, and sometimes she had trouble trusting it, but he did. He would love their baby.

Their baby. Jade touched a hand to her stomach. Could she do it? Could she be a mother? She looked at the pregnancy tests having no idea which she should pick. There were so many. All of them claimed to be error proof. What was she going to do?

Eden had made it sound so easy. And, with liquid, it really had seemed simple. But, after calling in a few favors to find out where Jade lived and arriving at the door, she wasn't so sure. She was here, though, so she'd better go through with it...

Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door.

What: Jordan joins the Autumn world



It was early when Jordan stumbled out into the Autumn world for the first time. Her sister had woken her, given her hugs and well wishes, then shoved her right out into it with only the clothes on her back. They weren't even her clothes, but the Autumn world clothes her mother had owned, so much more constricting than the fae clothing she was used to. And the tall heels were so impractical for forest walking. They were the first to go, though she carried them in her hand so as not to lose them. She knew not all of this world was forest, and the asphalt humans used looked to be hard to walk on.

She wasn't sure where she'd popped through the veil, so she wandered in the direction that she hoped led to town, looking forward to someplace warm. Mirah had spoken of the cold that gripped their beloved Earth in the Autumn world, but she'd never expected anything like this. Snapping out of her thoughts, she heard a rustle in the woods and hid behind a large oak, peeking out mischievously to see who was there.

When: Lunch
Where: The Library
What: Taylor's buried in work



Taylor sighed as she found yet another pile of books randomly distributed throughout the stacks. She'd already found three knocked over shelves, and more than one condom, which had thoroughly grossed her out. At least they were using condoms, true, but the library was no place for sex! She'd washed her hands for a long time after throwing those away.

It was like someone was coming in here and messing everything up just to mess with her. She knew it wasn't personal, but it felt like it some times. Maybe Rory would be able to help when she came in later on. But, for now, it was all up to her

Ben didn't have any books to shelve, and it had been a slow day, so he was sitting behind the service desk, working on some research of his own. Research for Dr Cale actually, as he was now also working in the capacity of her unofficial research assistant, trying to figure out a way to treat the plague afflicting the supernaturals. Open in the desk around him were books on virology, genetics and chemical warfare. Ben was busily typing notes into his laptop.

Where: Starting at Hope's place, then visiting the sick.
What: Taking blood samples, among other things

Ben placed the last novel on top of a stack of books, and handed back the library card to the teenage girl it belonged to, said goodbye with a polite smile, then turned to the next person in line.

What: Fate throws Ben & Jade back together.


Ben was in the library, shelving. Technically, he shouldn't have been, seeing as he wasn't actually on the roster to work that day, but after his run in with the werewolves the previous day, he needed to clear his head, and the library was a comfortingly safe place to do so.

In any case, he was among the stacks, shelving and re-shelving books that had been carelessly put back in the wrong place, trying to use the methodical task to achieve a zen state of mind.

What: Ben's doing some work for his thesis


Having opted to skip the festivities at The Last Round and thereby spare himself the humiliation of tripping over his own feet and doing a faceplant into some poor hapless woman's cleavage, Ben was up early in the pre-dawn of new years day in the Mysteria wolf pack's roaming territory, hoping to observe some wolves.

With night vision goggles on to aid his vision, he'd taken up position downwind of some fresh wolf prints, and stood silent and still, his back leaned up against a tree, hoping to catch a glimpse of the wolf that had made them.

It was Ben's first day working at Mysteria Library and having just finished the current shelving, he was situated behind the front counter, checking in recently returned books and familiarizing himself with the computer system.
