Ding, dong, the witch is back...
Who: Andrew, Gretchen (NPC), and Savvy
When: 4:15 pm
Where: Drew's house
What: Drew's mom drops in unexpectedly
"This is simply unacceptable!" Gretchen's voice screeched, causing Drew to sit upright in his "study". He hadn't heard any news of her coming home. She couldn't have been there long, and she was already pissed off. Probably at Lucas, the only person who she could get away with bossing around. He bolted from the couch and started downstairs, but Paloma stopped him. "Mr. Drew, Mrs. Montgomery is in a very bad mood. I wouldn't suggest you get in her path this time."
"I'll be fine," he assured the housekeeper with a smile, kissing her on the cheek before he brushed past her to confront the angry woman in the kitchen. The fire wasn't even that big.
"Gretchen," He greeted, ambling into the kitchen where his mother, red-faced, was towering over Lucas. "You know, getting mad like this just gives you wrinkles. Wouldn't want Stephen to have to pay for another round of Botox so soon." The bleach-blonde, perfectly coifed woman glowered at him.
"Look what this degenerate has done to my home! And you brought him here. You promised he was top notch! Pack your things and get out of my sight," she told Lucas, who scurried away.
"Again, wrinkles," he reminded her, causing her to plant her hands angrily on the marble between them. Her wedding rings, large and ostentatious diamonds, clacked as she drummed her fingers.
"Andrew Carmichael Montgomery. I will not tolerate these goings on in my home. Fires in the kitchen, fires in the gardens! You've been acting up since we fired that awful hag and I won't stand for it any more. Your father and I have given you everything, and you act like a spoiled child." Her statement made Drew's blood boil. Her and Stephen had taken away far more than they gave. What they gave was worth a lot, monetarily, sure. But what they took away was far more valuable.
"Why don't you just go back to San Marco and make life easier on all of us?" He asked, grabbing an apple and stalking away angrily. As he passed through the foyer, he heard the doorbell ring. "I've got it, 'Loma," he called out, opening the door to find Savvy.
"Hey," he smiled, stepping back to let her in.
