"Ah, damn." Hank's hand went to his shorts pocket, pulling out his wallet. "Let me buy you a new one, Officer. I was completely spaced out."
"That'll teach you boy. Wandering around new territory with your head up your ass." The creaking voice scratched at his ears. Hank's eyes shifted over the policeman's shoulder. There, a dark bird bobbing on a street sign. It's head cocked to the side, keeping one yellow eye trained on him.
Hank's eyes narrowed slightly, as he spotted it. "Quiet down, Old Woman." A small huff of air escaped his lips before he looked back down to the officer. He could feel his cheeks warming as he blushed.
