"It wasn't how it looked Jade," Ben promised, pained that she'd think that of him. He loved her. He shook his head, and lowered his voice so only Jade could hear, "Look, I found her wandering around barefoot in the woods, she seemed disoriented... I offered to take her to the hospital but she didn't want to go. I was hoping you'd have some idea of what to do with her. She's clearly out of it, we can't just let her wander around a place like this in that state. Let's get her inside, I'll call Hope, she'll know what to do."
He looked at Jade questioningly for a moment, then turned to Jordan, speaking at a normal level once more, "Listen, this was clearly a misunderstanding. I'm sorry, I didn't realise you thought..." He shook his head, "We should go inside, you too, Jordan. I'll get you an icepack so the eye doesn't swell up, and you can have something to eat..."
