"I didn't know Ange was pregnant," Bridgette said as she slid down next to him, sighing. She understood better, his fear, stubborn nature, and the depth he would go for someone else. If that didn't earn a little divine intervention, she didn't know what did.
"Look, it does suck. I know that. You're so sure that there's no hope. I'm telling you, there is. You've got an army of angels fighting for you because they see something in you. Something good."
He wasn't leaving. He had just promised. He was willing to risk whatever he had to to keep Miles' unborn child from being alone like they had been, for Miles' own safety. She felt foolish for the way she had acted before, her insecurities playing on her. At that moment, she would have done anything to get Ty away from all of this, away from his situation. Change it all.
She turned his cheek toward her and kissed him. Sweetly passionate, a tender kiss. She held her hand to his jaw and brushed her thumb along his cheek as their lips met.
