What: Nicola is really ill but still working
Nicola was sat up the stairs in the tiny office above Delights and feeling rotten. Her eyes were sore and red and itched, her nose was constantly running yet she couldn't breathe through it. Her chest felt tight no matter what she did and she was so tired all of the time. She had a whole bunch of remedies laid out on the table to one side, next to all of her papers. She was so thankful for Poppy downstairs. If she hadn't had her hired her than she would have ended up having to close shop and she would have lost her a fortune!
She could hardly bake goods and serve customers coughing over everyone could she? The Health Inspectors wouldn't look kindly on that. So she took the chance to keep up with her paper work and make sure all her receipts were together and the like. She coughed again, a very nasty sounding cough erupted and she huddled at herself, it was making her feel physically sick as she coughed. Afterwards she clung to her head as the coughing fit eased, now she was dizzy and nauseous. She had never had such an intense cold before. Perhaps it was a winter flu? Though she never usually got this sick. She felt utterly wretched. Maybe she had caught something from that wolf? She chewed her lip, she needed to see a doctor. She closed her eyes a moment before her head hit the top of the desk. Just a little sleep! Just a little sleep and she'd be fine to go see the Doctor when she woke up! Perfect plan.
