Dear lady can't you hear the wind blow and did you know?
Who: Natalie (Open)
When: Late evening, around 10pm
Where: Broken Shoe Ranch/Dreamscape
What: Dreamwalking
Sleeping at night wasn't something Natalie had done since her mid-teens, not counting the last few weeks. But, considering she was no longer a night auditor, she'd hadn't a valid reason to be up all night anymore. The rest of the world functioned during the day anyway. She supposed that she should at least try to get involved with the outside world if she was really serious about moving past her own odd version of isolation. But that could wait until tomorrow. It was already late, and she was tired from the day. Not that she actually did a lot, simply hung around the ranch and kept to herself. She hadn't wanted to interrupt things for Brooke and Anna or anybody else around there, so she'd just stayed out the way. She'd dropped a few gifts under the tree for the others very early that morning, and then made her way into absence again. Besides, her leg was still sore, her stitches irritated every time the fabric of her pants rubbed against them too hard. Not to mention, that tattoo was still a little raw. She'd gotten a short call from her father, wishing her Merry Christmas. It had been awkward, lasting no more than a few minutes. Making sure she set her watch (for only 5 hours; she never slept long than that if she intended to dreamwalk), Natalie lay down and was asleep in no time. Despite Dr./Angel Hope's warning, she was going to keep on going. This is just what she did, who she was. She would just be more careful, more watchful. There was no concept of time in the dreamscape. Which was why when anyone went to sleep, it seemed like less than a moment later when they opened their eyes upon waking. And like every other night, she was just coasting. Taking glances into dreams. Almost like flying over a black sea, but within the depths, sound filled moving images could be seen just below the surface. |
