burn baby burn Who: Tabby and Cassie(NPC) When: Late night Where: Streets of Mysteria What: Tabby brings her sisters life to a conclusion Rhys death spurring her on
It had been a day of utter heartache for Tabby. She had lost a good friend and she knew who had taken him! The police were looking at it as a robbery, that Rhys had been attacked with what looked like a screw driver. Twice to the neck as well as being thrown around a little, they assumed there had been a struggle. Of course an investigation was going to have to take place but Tabby had been inconsolable when she had discovered him. But as the day had gone on, she had just become angry. Bitter and twisted. She wanted to make Cassie suffer for this one. She had to find her and she had to finish this. Tonight!
Before night fall she had left the house with her toy from Mexico and gone off in to the streets trying to find where her sister would sleep through the day. Somewhere despicable. Somewhere surrounded by drug dealers and bars. She walked through the whole town trying to get in to the mid set of her sister. It wasn’t really luck that had her find her sister. Cassie had decided to come out and gloat. To rile Tabby. So as soon as darkness crawled over the town, Cassie had crawled out of her hole. “Hello my dearest weaker half.” Cassie purred as she stood in the middle of the road in front of Tabby. “Like my little gift I sent you?” She chuckled.
“…why? Why Cassie?” Tabby asked as she watched Cassie move, walking closer. Just one shot. She needed just one shot. One shot with the dart and Cassie was done. She had spent a long while finding holy water and making up the darts. Now she was just looking for her chance.
“You know why.” Cassie shrugged, “Because I can. Because I am better than you.” She said with a sigh and a shaking of her head, “…don’t do this to yourself Tabitha. Do not make yourself believe you can destroy me. If you could you would have by now. And that handsome, sexy young man would still be rejecting you as we speak.” She laughed.
“Cassandra.” Tabby said. “You’re completely lost aren’t you?” She asked. Somewhere in the back of her mind she had always somewhat hoped Cassie could be saved. But this time, she had destroyed all hope of forgiveness.
“Oh god, Tabby, you gonna cwy?” She cooed.
“Cassie…go to hell huh?” She said as she lifted the dart gun up and aimed it at her.
“Oh…sis, you never learn do you? A gun. That’s so pitiful. I think I may kill you tonight. Or turn you. That’d be ever so much fun.” She grinned.
“You always were such a cocky bitch…weren’t you?” She said as she pulled the trigger. As the dart flew through the air she felt herself wondering why it had taken this long to destroy her sister.
Cassie hadn’t always been around in Mysteria since she had been turned. In truth, Tabby couldn’t chase after her for long, her leg seizing up after too much exertion. That and the fact her sister disappeared from time to time and Tabby was firmly stuck in Mysteria, at Thorpes. So yes. It had taken too long but mostly couldn’t be avoided. She only wished once she knew her sister was back she had been more obsessive. But her life had taken over. She took a deep breath as she saw Cassie pull the dart out of her stomach. Then the screaming started.
Holy water filled darts were not a nice way to kill a vampire. But a nicely effective way. Tabby lowered the dart gun then replaced it in the holster she had and straightening her coat down. She started walking forward watching Cassie writhe on the ground clawing at herself, screaming in agony. Her stomach began to collapse in to itself. It looked like she was being eaten away by acid. Then her chest cascaded in and began to burn away, smoke rising from her mouth and the openings. She started to burn away in to nothing.
Tabby breathed a sigh of relief as the agonised squealing stopped. There had been a moment there. A terrified moment when Tabby had fired the dart and been worried it wouldn’t have worked. That she didn’t believe as strongly as she had in the morning before finding Rhys. That she didn’t have her true faith. She felt relieved she still believed. Not just for this, but for still needing God. She watched as the burnt body collapsed in to itself and become completely unrecognisable as a body. She took a deep breath and turned her face away as dust blew up. A neat way to dispose of the body the dart technique. It burnt the body away completely, no mess, no body to move and dispose of.
Why couldn’t she have done this last night? Why not ages ago? Why did Rhys have to die because of her sister? She broke down in to tears and now she was going to really grieve for her lost friend. She clutched a hand to her face and ran off back to her apartment.
She collapsed in to her bed after stripping from her coat and damp cold clothes and huddled in to her pillow, sobbing pitifully.
