Faith was sitting on Bobby desk as he paced back and forth in the room. Sam and Dean were in the kitchen, Dean was leaning back on his chair as he peeked through the doors to see what was going on.
“Another hunter?” Sam asked as he looked at his brother, shaking his head, since they were both trying to figure out who she was.
Dean sat the chair back down, reached for his beer. “Maybe, why else would she make herself at home here,” taking a swig of his beer, “She reminds me of Ellen.”
Sam nodded his head, he was going to mention how Dean got his ass served to him, but decided Dean pride been wounded enough the last couple of days.
Leaning back again, he got caught by Faith who was looking at him strangely and then nodded her head at Bobby. She then hopped off the desk, entered the hall and walked out the house, leaving the door open.
“Boys,” Bobby called out as he waved them to join him in the room. “Looks like we got a slight problem with what happened to us.”
The brother exchanged looks and got up to go into the room, “What’s up, Bobby?” Sam asked looking concerned and then turned to look back as Faith walked back in the room with two duffle bags. Once she dropped them off, she left again.
“Who the hell is she?” Dean asked as he watch Faith leave and then looked at Bobby, “What the hell is going on?”
Bobby muttered at their questions and then remarked “Faith Lehane, she’s a Slayer and I was friends with her Watcher. We…exchanged information from time to time, recently he was killed and,” his hand waved to the bags, “left me some things.”
“Watcher?” Sam ask, “Slayer?” Dean finished, for what was this some sick babysitting gig and what did this have to do with them.
Faith entered the room, putting two bags down and sighed since she was getting annoyed with the questions. “Yo, lets get this out of the way. Cliff notes go as such, Slayers are called upon to battle against vampires, demons, and other forces of darkness. We are chosen by fate and when we are called to service, one is normally assigned by a Watcher, who trains and teaches us. It use to be selective club, but a few years ago, we battled a hell mouth and lets just say, all slayers who were chosen were all called to fight and now we are roaming all over the world.”
“So you’re some kind of supernatural killing supernatural,” Dean asked as he stepped back, he wasn’t one for the unnatural side of things, that was Sam’s field since he seemed to like the freaky ladies.
“Dean,” Bobby sighed and shook his head “She is a woman, a human, just like you. Only she has enhanced features that we lack. She can fight with the best, hard to keep knocked down, and if I‘m not mistaken you can heal, but its slowly, right?”
Faith nodded her head “All woman and yep, spent forever in a coma, but then came out peachy.” Faith looked at the boys, “So we are in the same line of work, I’m just more awesome than you two.”
Dean snorted and looked at Bobby, “So what does miss awesome have to deal with what was happening.” He looked at Sam wondering what the hell is going on.
“Miss awesome, deals with saving hell from entering, but when your friend open the door there was a seed working to open hell as well. We stopped our end, but like always things always slip through the cracks, which mean, you’ll have some on your end as well.” Faith shot him a mocking looking and then left again.
Sam eyes followed her out and then looked at Bobby, “So new creatures then.”
Pulling off his hat, scratching his head, and then putting it back on he nodded his head “Yeah…so it seems, son.”
Faith came back in, “this is the last of them.” She went to toss one bag and then Sam reached out, “here let me help.” With an arch brow she handed the bag, but it was so heavy that Sam dropped it, on Dean’s foot.
“Son of a bitch…” Dean gasped out, trying to pull his foot out, tripping over the bag Faith tossed, tumbling to the floor.
Faith move over, her hand extended out for Dean to grab as Sam stammered “Dean, Man, I’m sorry.”
Dean glared at him and then looked at Faith. “Twice within hour you got me on my back, you could have at least bought me a drink, sweetheart.” He took her hand, standing up.
Without missing a beat, Faith replied, “Already cooked dinner, I like to cut to the chase.” Turning to Bobby with a nod “I’m going to shower, patrol some, then nap, I’ll be out of here in the morning. Have fun with your books.”
He just nodded his head as Faith left them all standing there. The brothers stood there looking at each other and then at Bobby. “I like her,” Sam finally stated.
With a snort and a shove to the shoulder Dean muttered “you would.” Then he sighed “I’m getting another beer, you want one Bobby?”
Bobby was already in one of the bags, looking over the books, “Get the liquor, son. I need to toast an old comrade.”
