Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Draco and Adrian
What: dance lessons
Where: Adrian's flat
When: Tonight!
Rated: Probably R for language

Draco didn't bother to knock. He never did. He decided long ago that privacy, while treasured, was a luxury he felt many people didn't deserve. People with things to hide, skeletons in their closet, weren't people he wanted to associate with. He much rather liked to find things out up front and choose whether or not to continue relations with the person in question. It was so much easier when things were out in the open, too. After hiding many of his own issues for so long, he realized he felt much better when he was honest.

And so, apparating on the front step of Adrian's flat, he walked straight in the house. He took a glance around. Thankfully Rosemary, the sex doll Draco discovered the first time he had walked straight in, was put away or, at the very least not in some wretchedly disturbing position next to the window. He shuddered at the thought of needing an inanimate object just to make love to something. Perhaps these dance lessons would be the catalyst Adrian needed to finally get rid of her and fucking something that breathed.

"Oi. Pucey. Where are you?" He slumped down on the sofa and cross his legs.

Merlin. Was Draco here already? Adrian was hoping that he could finish up another session with Rosemary before he arrived. Whatever. He wasn't going to stop just because he was here. He'd have to wait. It's what he got for not knocking.

"I'M COMING!" Literally. He shouted from his bedroom with the door slightly ajar. After a few more pushes and worn-out moans from his doll, Adrian was done. Quick and easy. He got up, tucked himself in, zipped up his jeans and strolled out into the living room.

"Would it kill you to knock?" He walked over to the sink to wash his hands.

Draco frowned. He had the good sense not to venture further into the house, especially when his friend was notably absent.

"Would it kill you to perform a cleaning spell every once in a while? It smells like dirty sex in here." He turned his nose up and gave Adrian the once over. He looked messy, and was wearing the distinguishable look of just getting laid. "I'm not coming anywhere near you until you shower."

He wiped his hands on a nearby dish towel. Waving the wand across his body, a stream of pleasant smelling aerosol filled the room and his hair became neat again. It was a refreshing charm. It could never replace a shower, but did well in a pinch.

"Don't be jealous. Just think: in a few weeks, she's all yours."

"I can give you lessons to make you better on your feet, but your charm won't help anything. Women like it when you take your time. No one's going to want you plowing into them like they're a piece of realistically skin-like plastic. What are you going to do when you actually have to pleasure someone?" He shook his head in disappointment. Hopefully he was psyching Adrian out enough that he would blow it with at least one of the birds. That way, Draco could snatch her right from under his nose.

He stood. "At least it doesn't smell like sweat anymore."

"Stick it in their mouth," he deadpanned. Couldn't complain if you couldn't talk.

Adrian briskly walked across the room and fiddled with a music device that he obtained from an old Muggle store. He wanted to get this whole dancing business started and done with.

"Blast this device! Get off your lazy arse and help me over here! Those muggle movie players are so much more simple."

Draco resisted the urge to laugh. Instead, the corners of his mouth turned up, just so, into a smirk. He might have grown up, but his sense of humor was that of any other twenty three year old male.

"Why don't you have a bloody wizard radio?" He stood, with great effort and a loud sigh, and mosied over to Adrian. "I don't know what a-" There was a pause as Draco bent forward and squinted at the front of the player "a cee dee player is. Or how to use it." His parents had never allowed any of that stuff in his home.

"I do," he spat back at him. Draco could be so stupid sometimes. "But the music they have in the place I'll be taking Astoria only plays this kind of stuff, so I have to have that kind of music player, you idiot." He pointed to a cd case near the player with a giant piano on it.

He whacked the thing on its side a couple of times. "Come on. Work!" As if yelling would help.

Draco tapped his wand on the player, but nothing happened. He frowned again and looked down, obviously bored with trying to make it work. "Why are you taking her someplace where they use muggle inventions?" He asked, absent-mindedly. There was a rope on the floor.

He bent down to examine it. There were little prongs sticking out of one end and the other appeared to disappear behind whatever the cd player was sitting on. He quirked a brow.

"What's this rope for?"

He ignored his comment. He clearly was not the Casanova that people made him out to be if he did not understand why he was taking her to a proper ballroom.

But one thing he was good at was finding spark plugs, he decided. "Oh," Adrian replied dumbfounded. "Gimme that," he snatched the thing out of Draco's hand and moved to plug it into the electrical outlet. Thank god for his Muggle Studies classes, he decided.

The flat suddenly filled with deafeningly loud violin wailing. It nearly knocked him off his feet.

"FUCK!" He fumbled with the cd player, trying to lower its volume.

Draco sneered as the rope was wretched from his hand. Suddenly, he couldn't hear his own thoughts, and he was more than positive he was going to prematurely go deaf in both his ears.

"ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY?!" He yelled, jabbing at the player with his fingers. The music stopped. "If we had just used the radio and found a classical station," he continued, angrily, "then maybe I'd still have my eardrums." He gritted his teeth.

"CALM THE FUCK DOWN!" Adrian shouted back. What the hell was he so pissed about? "Stop being so dramatic!" He forcefully shoved Draco aside.

Squinting at the CD player, his finger hovered its buttons for a time before they finally hit the ON button. Classical music was playing again. This time, not deafening loud.

"See?" he looked at him, shooting daggers with his eyes. "It's fine. You just have to be patient with it."

"Patience isn't my strongest point," he grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest and looking convincingly like a ten-year-old version of himself.

"But you should be nicer to me, anyway, seeing as I'm taking time out of my day to help you progress with women I don't think you deserve." He moved to the center of the room and stood there.

"Arse," he replied curtly before following his lead and moving to the middle of the room.

He presented himself in front of his blonde friend. Rather closely. "Okay. What do I do first?"

"Git," he shot back, but made no further effort to belittle his friend. He took a deep sigh and mentally prepared himself for the horror that was about to follow.

"I guess I should pretend to be the girl. Er. Tori. So that you learn the male part." He hated the idea, but it was the only way.

"Put your hand on my waist. And if you grip my bum, I'll pummel you."

Adrian had no qualms about putting his hands on Draco. He looked like a girl anyway, so it wasn't too much of a stretch for him to pretend that he was Astoria. Boldly, Adrian put a confident grip on Draco's waist, giving him a sly smile while doing so.

"Ooh," he pinched his waist lightly. "Been keeping up that figure, have you?"

Draco frowned. "Can we be serious?" He raised both his eyebrows and stared at his friend.

He held up his hand.

"Now, put your hand in mine."

Right. He had to be serious. He tried hard to stifle his giggling.

Adrian put his big paw of a hand around Draco's grabbed it roughly. "Like this?"

"A little more gentle. Remember, I'm a fragile girl. You don't want your rough, corpse-like hands to hurt me," he drawled.

"They are not corpse-like. Corpses aren't nearly as moist," he retorted, but slackening his grip on Draco's hand all the same. "So what now?"

Draco rolled his eyes. "Now we move," he said. "I'll lead first and then you can take over once you get the hang." He showed him the steps, leading with a strong confidence. Dancing was mostly about that: confidence.

"Erm what?" Before Adrian was able to protest further, they started moving. "Oh shite," he stumbled forward and backward, keeping his eyes fixed on his feet. HOW WAS THIS TEACHING? Adrian jerked backward and foward. He was totally confused.

And then he stomped on Draco's foot. "Oops! Watch your foot, mate."

"Don't look at your feet. You shouldn't ever take your eyes off the girl." It was a rule. Draco's rule. If you took your eyes off the girl, she didn't feel beautiful. Or at least, she didn't feel like she was the center of attention. And from Draco's experience, girls liked being the center of male's attention.

"Watch your foot. Keep them within a small distance of each other. Don't take big steps. Small ones will do."

He had lost all his former sneer and attitude. Now, he was speaking in a very specific teaching voice.

Apprehensively, Adrian took his eyes off his feet. Through his snickering and snarky comebacks, he found that he was starting to understand what Draco was saying. He was swaying! To the music! His movements became more confident.

"Hey!" He said to Draco happily, giving him a dog-like grin. "I think I'm starting to get it!"

"Good, now try leading me," he commanded, slackening his efforts to see if his friend could take charge. "You're going to owe me a shitload, Pucey."

If Tori liked his dancing, then she would surely put out.

"Oh," Adrian tried his best to mimic Draco's previous swaying. "This isn't too bad," He was doing pretty well at first, following the music at a steady rate. "It's pretty fun actually!" Lucky for them, all of the window blinds were closed shut.

Eventually, he started to veer off course. He may have been following the tempo well, but his movements were still clumsy. Because that's what you had to do when you danced, right? Move around the room?

Adrian felt the front of his shoe jam underneath the sofa. With an "Oof," he stumbled mid-turn before he catching himself with the back of the furniture. Not before he released Draco from his grip, of course.

And Draco fell, hard into the wood floors of Adrian's living room. He stood quickly, not wanting to show pain. But anger was flashing across his face.

"What the bloody hell, mate?" He growled, rubbing his neck. "I think I've done all I can."

Draco slapped the hand out of his way. He didn't need help. He could get up perfectly fine on his own. Though, he did appreciate the effort, he supposed.

"I'm leaving now," he said. It wasn't angry, or even necessarily hostile. He was just done teaching and wanted to go home. He had a good book waiting anyways.

"Touchy," he muttered as Draco was leaving. "Thanks though!" Adrian called halfheartedly into the hallway.

The music was still softly playing in his flat. On his own, he danced with an imaginary partner, making big clunky movements. Dancing wasn't so bad afterall.
