Lisa had just finished closing up shop. It had been a long day at the gift shop. Lavender hadn't warned her about the rush right before Christmas. Tons of patients, visitors and anyone in-between was buying trinkets and stuffed toys and balloons for their loved ones. It was crazy. Lisa had barely had time to think to herself, let alone anything else. It was nice. She hadn't had to sulk about Marcus or their fight at all-- not that she was doing much sulking. Her and Roger had basically put it behind them. She still missed Marcus. He was her best friend, after all. But she'd decided that she wasn't really in the wrong, no matter how much he made her feel that way.
She was just thinking about his owl, still surprised that he'd sent it, when he knocked. She grabbed the keys and moved quickly to the door, unlocking it to let him in. "Hi," she said, not knowing what else to say. What did one say in a situation like this?
