WHO: Roger and Kaira
WHAT: A mystery prize date
WHEN: Tuesday night
RATING: PG13? *shrugs*

Roger showed up at Kaira's flat on time, dressed as she requested: nicely but without a tie. Brighton was with his grandmother. Roger had chosen a pair of white slacks and a baby blue shirt. Because he had no tie, the top button was fashionably undone.

He knocked on the door and then took a minute to pop a breath mint. He hadn't dated in years, but he had quickly reverted to the routine of the Hogwarts ladies man.

Humming to herself Kaira adjust the small diamond earring in her right ear, Roger would be there any minute and Kaira had made the mistake of not getting ready until just an hour ago. She'd hadn't gone out on a date in a while...well if you counted whatever that had been with Adrian as a date. Memories of what had happened had been a deciding factor in what she was currently wearing, a simple blue sun dress, tasteful but tight enough in the right places.

She was glad she was going out with Roger, she really liked the guy, and even though they worked in the same place very rarely did she actually get to hang out with him. And he was hot, Kaira thought laughing to herself. She had a very hot friend.

At the knock at the door Kaira gave a final glance at herself in the hallway mirror before turning back to the entrance, opening the door with a big smile on her face. "Good Evening," she drawled, eyes twinkling as she took in his appearance. "Don't you look dapper," it was true, once again she had a hot friend.

	The tasteful sun dress was a look he'd grown up with a lot. They did look like they were ready to go to a Davies family luncheon. Roger rubbed his chin, an unconscious check that he hadn't forgotten to shave. "Well, you know, have to wear all my white before the summer is up. Then it's a fashion faux pas." 	"Ah I see, fashion conscious," she leaned forward and gave him a kiss on the cheek, shutting the door behind her with a bang. 	"What's the plan?" Roger was a little blindsided. "Wait, you told me how to dress, I thought you had a plan?" Was she trying to catch him off guard? Roger had a feeling that was it. She was messing with him. He cast his mind about, trying to think of what they were going to do now, dressed up. Just going out to eat would be too predictable, right? Kaira felt her brow furrow. "Wait," she stopped on the step, her heels clicking. "I thought you had this planned was I supposed to..." she trailed off, eyes widening. "Aw crap I bought you so I plan it huh?" she cursed and put her hands on her hips, shaking her head.

Duh Kaira, she chewed on her lip. Here they were looking all spiffy and she'd totally dropped the ball. "Er," she tried, looking at him for help, "we could go dancing?" she let out an embarassed chuckle.

Kaira stopped chewing on her lips and gave him a bright smile. "Brilliant," she gracefully stepped off the last step and took his arm, "I always knew you were a Ravenclaw for a reason."

It was a nice night, with only a slight breeze that Kaira could appreciate against the humidity. "So glad I'm the one taking you out...well sort of," she amended, squeezing his arm.

	"Didn't Leanna bid on you as well," Kaira said distractedly, trying to keep her shoulders inward so less people bumped into her as they made their way. 	"Ah," Kaira gave a fake mournful sigh, "guess I wasn't in too much danger of losing you." She winked and tucked her hair behind her ear, she never usually wore it down, and with it constantly moving in front of her ace, it was irritating her. 	"No more toast. I made peace with Lisa. Hopefully Marcus will back off now." Roger was glad that the setting of the sun had taken away some of the brutal August heat. It'd be cooler on the water, too. "You haven't been the victim of toast assault, have you?" (Reply to this) (Parent)
