Thread: A small goodbye (Sage & Logan) Characters: Logan NPCs: Sage Location: Xavier's, Logan's Room Timeline: April 6th, 2012, not long after this Description: Logan prepares to go to Asteroid M and Sage comes to say goodbye Rating: Low-ish
As soon as Asteroid M started cruising the world, Logan knew what was coming. It was only a matter of time before Magneto made his way stateside and would deliver some speech to bring every mutant blinded by the ideal society he presented from all over the United States. If only it were true. He couldn't imagine someone like Magneto to be capable of understanding or achieving peace when only months before he'd caused absolute chaos.
So Logan knew what he had to do. He'd been sitting on his hands and even if Charles had told him to stay, and not to go, Logan would have gone anyway. There wasn't much to pack, just a bag with his laptop in it and that was it. He needed the basics, he didn't know what the security was going to be like there until he got there. Any planes or helicopters that could have gotten close enough to see something more than the landscape from a distance didn't dare to. It was very obvious that they were afraid something might happen if they were suspected of being too close.
"You're not the type to come to talk me out of something, so I'm going to be assuming you're here to say goodbye," Logan said, with his back facing the door. He knew Sage was there. He could smell her distinct scent as it had come down the hall, heard the quiet steps of her feet against the floorboards and then her final stop to the doorway. They both knew he was going and why he was going, and he knew Sage knew better than to try to convince him he needed to stay.
